MS Symra is our traditional fishing boat, and she turned 100 years old in 2017. The boat is open and there is 10 fishing stations available. During the winter fishing from February to April it is all about skrei, and the rest of the year we catch pollock, haddock, mackerel and coastal cod.
"Explore authentic fishing in Lofoten and taste your catch on board"
The trip includes sea fishing with line wheel and/or fishing rod, and we serve coffee on board along with stories from Lofoten. We always try to serve a taste of the fresh catch on flatbread with sour cream as an extra service to our guest.
- Floating suit
- Fishing gloves
- Taste of the fresh fish (if we catch anything)
- Taste of the traditional Stockfish
The weather at sea in Lofoten can change rapidly, which is some of the charm of these isles. Fishermen have over hundreds of years learnt what is suitable clothing at sea, and we recommend the same for our guests, unless the temperature is above 20 degrees centigrade. Remember to bring warm boots and gloves. and also your camera.
